No More Razor Burn! |
by Rylee Newton One of the most painful and embarrassing side effects of shaving is ingrown pubic hairs. It's very common for people to experience these bumps after they shave or wax their bikini areas. While it's comforting to know you're not suffering alone, it's more comforting to know there's something you can do to prevent these hairs from coming back. Ingrown pubic hairs can be removed using specialized tweezers, or by soaking the area in hot water. Many times they will just go away on their own after a couple of days. There are some products out there that can reduce their swelling, and prevent them from coming back again. Many women experience ingrown pubic hairs when they get their bikini area waxed. This seems to be less common the more often this process is performed. The first time I had it done, I broke out in a string of tiny red bumps. These were ingrown hairs that would go away in just a few days as the hairs began to grow back. I was disappointed by the experience, but still go through it about every three weeks. There are many products that treat ingrown hairs. More than anything, they provide you with relief from pain, and reduce the appearance of swelling or redness. This is especially important for women who would otherwise feel self conscious about their bikini areas. These products act as neutralizing agents, and often contain agents to prevent the development of unsightly pimples or pustules.
